Keesara Plastics Private Limited previously known as Vijay Industries, was established in 1980 with registered office at Kodungaiyur, Chennai, India. The injection moulding machine plant is at Kodungaiyur with 20 machines. During the year 1989 keesara plastics Torch light manufacturing unit was started at Sholavaram, Chennai. In the year 2006 the keesara plastics torch light manufacturing unit was shifted to Dehradun to take advantage of tax benefits provided by the Government of India to Industries setup in Uttarakhand State.

Initially keesara plastics manufactured bulb type torches, subsequently in the year 2006 keesara plastics upgraded to manufacture LED type torches also.

Keesara plastics was the first to produce LED torch lights in India under a big brand name NIPPO.
